Re-mix, Re-set, Re-play

Three weeks ago marked a mile stone in my life, my baby became a toddler, Owie turned one year old. Party plans were set, peeps rolled into town, and a lot of heads came over to help celebrate the occasion. That Sunday was filled with family and pancakes hence, no post.

The following weekend was of little consequence, posting placed as per usual.

The Sunday after that was a big one for the nation, the Super Spectacle Super Bowl. It was also a big one for the super bowl in my water closet. My system was rocked by a particular strain of virus that tethered me to the couch for two days; ouch, no post.

Here we are at last, Sunday, February 10, 2013. In an effort to make up for lost-post time I am spinning a little something extra special. Fresh into the year of the snake I have chosen something of the 12" EP remix variety. First off, Bizarre Love Triangle from the seminal Manchester sound aficionados, New Order. My baby likes just about anything that is ready for the disco floor. We danced and danced, flipped the disc and danced some more. Now it is nap time and we need to space out a bit. Post Global Music by Ariel M is a fine selection to calm the nerves of the craziest one year old. Come on side B, work your magic...

And then, after the nap, more remix (of the re-play variety) by Mr. Bundy K. Brown. This time a little redo of the sounds of The Sea and Cake:

Side A also includes a remixes by Jim O'Rorke and Designer. Quite a gem in my vinyl stacks.

Cheers!
