First, my day started with a great surprise from my good friend StoPit in Nueve York. His band DUBKNOWDUB was to perform live on East Village Radio (I found out via text message, somehow that seems old school). I totally caught that set live, face melt #1 for the day—those guys are amazing.
Second, The Melvins performing Bullhead and Stoner Witch at the Great American Music hall. nothing left for a face, just a molten mess. Damn, those fuckers can rock. Righty drummer (D.Crover) lefty drummer (C.Willis) in perfect mirroring unison for 2 hours. King Buzzo slaying it! F'n bassist Jared Warren makes it look so easy. Those dudes freakin rule. I want my face back.
Oh, for the record this all happened on Wednesday 5/18. I finally feel like I have processed enough of what I absorbed yesterday to finally get this down. Keep on keeping on brother...
