Too Big to Fail

13 years of longing now done! Guts of Unwound have home and teamed up again, forming what might very well be the best rock outfit out there! 2014 graced with the force of Loose Power.

I caught the show at the Hemlock, bought the record, and it hasn't left the rotation yet! Spun it today as a means to shatter my way back into the blogosphere.

eff yeah!

The Kids are Back

On the record shelf at least:

It is here! The early recordings from Tumwater, WA.

So effing stoked on this 3 disc set. I have only heard stories of the storied past of rock godz, Unwound.

Made it through disc A on Sunday. That was a full day; more than a 3 disc session would allow

Disc 2 on Monday—that happened.

I once met a kid who said that every morning should begin with Unwound. He was talking about New Plastic Ideas being a record that one should listen to before leaving the house. I would have to agree, that is one of the best records that I own. So far, this week I have been living up to that challenge with the new release. Disc 3 happened on Tuesday.

All I can say is, thank you...
