…all about this band:
From all the way across the pond, this record is one of the best things that happened to 1966. Keep the (psych blues rock) dream alive…
More of an audio diary than a review, or critique. Each post is a product of the whim of my Sunday morning.

Christmas Time is (Still) Here
Sitting on the couch today, New Years Day, 2014, feels a lot like a Sunday. The heater is burning, keeping the room nice and toasty. Tea kettle is whistling, waiting to steep some leaf. Noses are sniffly, prime situation during the winter season. The tree is still present, and lit. I'll keep that one as long as possible. Love and happiness in 2014…

Santa Claus is Coming…
I took a few weeks off to relish in the holidays. Ate a ton around Thanksgiving. The holiday parties have begun. Today, we brought a tree home. As hard it is to think that cutting down a tree is a good idea, I am a sucker for tradition.
Some years back I was given a very sweet gift of an old Magnavox TV/Radio, minus the TV part. 12" speaker with an old tube amplifier. It came with a rad collection of classical 78's and 33n1/3's. Amidst the LP's are a nice handful of holiday records. For the two weeks I missed I spun an extra record today. These are the discs that were played during the tree trimmin' and spiced cider sipping':

Thank you so much M3, you will always be in my heart and in my memory…

London Calling, Again
London Calling graced the table again this morning. This record was spun on a Sunday earlier this summer but, then again this fall day is feeling a bit summery; 75˚ and sunny. Not to say that I wouldn't spin this record every Sunday! The world would be a much better place if every Sunday started off with The Clash. Effing love this album!!!
