Way Out

"It is amazing how many ways a four-bar phrase of four beats per measure can be interpreted!"
-Charles Mingus

and how!
Dug this moldy thing out of the stacks for a special Father's Day jam.

Tour-Spiel

Guess I'm in a Mike Watt state of mind. (Not a bad place to be.) Heat waves risin' up off of the concrete on a relatively early Sunday morning makes for a great three-way jam listen. Minutemen gone Three-Minutemen, but this is no critique. Six songs clocking in at just over 22 minutes, I'm taking this one a-b, a-b. Wonder what they would-a done next? I mean, we all know what happened next but, you've got to wonder what they would have done, if they could have done, no? More spiel, no doubt...

(Dawning of a New Era)

Very few records sound as much like summer to me as this gem. I am so ready. Bring the waves that bring the waves.

OFF! - OFF!

I haven't been this stoked on a band since Jawbreaker.
Nostalgic sound of early LA punk, with a hardcore backbone. Effing sick !

FUCK YEAH!

Grails Deep Politics

A perfect combination of all the things I like about Three Mile Pilot, with hints of Cars Get Crushed and a solid dose of some bluesy blue grass steeped in homemade, high grain alcohol. Dark, backwoods shit with a touch of real city guitars. Bringing the all instrumental space jams for the brain.

And a tasty etch on side D
